The Story

What a great idea. Why waste an indicator? Use this foam fly pattern as an indicator and drop a small nymph off the bottom or fish a small dry fly behind it. Either way, you double your chances as the fish is going to be just as apt to take this beetle as the fly. This fly pattern is a great way to keep track of a midge pattern or a smaller foam pattern fished behind it.

Color: Orange.

Sizes: 12, 14.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent quality A real productivity fly. I catch more fish on this beetle than any other fly in my fly box. I often tie A dropper fly under this beetle and the trout hit your beetle first. I've even caught a bluegill in the same trout stream with it. I shared half my last order with a friend and he loves them too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect! Big bluegill find these irresistible! It’s late summer now and the bluegill and bass have been inhaling them since spring spawn. My 7 year old Grandson couldn’t keep them off on his first experience with fly fishing. Bright orange and high floating made very easy for him to see and be successful. I’ve been told they are great for cut throats. I’m trying that next week.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great in the Spring for Brook Trout Definitely one of my top searching patterns. The fish below was hiding up against a log in the stream and pounced on this beetle

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job of two!! Great to use an indicator with a nymph but results in getting hits that results in more fish!! So far I have recorded three doubles...... Bluegills can't leave this fly alone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always works for pan fish when nothing else will Great fun to fish for pan fish with this as an indicator with a nymph attached. If all your bites are on the nymph then it's a great indicator. If all the bites are on this fly then you detach the nymph and have fun.
