Casa Clorinda
Enjoy Orvis-endorsed lodging at Casa Clorinda on your fly-fishing trip to Campeche, Mexico. Founded by Enrico Puglisi of EP Flies, Casa Clorinda is a family retreat-turned-fishing lodge. This Spanish Colonial home in the heart of Campeche has been lovingly restored with modern amenities. Enjoy gourmet meals prepared by the in-house chef and unwind with a cocktail poolside in our tranquil garden. Just a short walk from downtown and an hour’s drive from Mayan ruins, Campeche boasts a rich history that’s easy to explore, and the fishing isn't bad either! The Campeche area offers some of the finest and most consistent fishing for baby and juvenile tarpon. The vast network of mangrove lagoons, turtle grass flats, and creeks stretch over 100 kilometers. Mangroves that begin immediately north of the city provide opportunities for year-round tarpon fishing as the weather and tides change. One of the reasons we love Campeche is its approachability for first-time saltwater anglers. Baby and juvenile tarpon are usually keen to eat a fly and, if hooked, will run and jump several times, making them extremely fun to catch. The multitude of shots that anglers are offered during a trip, combined with the excitement of hooking a tarpon is surely one of the best introductions to the world of saltwater fly fishing. While on the hunt for tarpon, the snook and barracuda that share these waters can offer up their own fun and challenges. With opportunities to fish, explore, and unwind, Casa Clorinda offers something for every traveler.
Orvis is pleased to offer our travel customers access to two valuable services: Global Rescue travel membership and IMG Signature Travel Insurance℠.
