The Story

Scud are shrimp-like fresh-water crustaceans. They occur in huge numbers in lakes and in slack sections of rivers. In rivers, present the scud fly with the shallow nymph or wet fly swing presentations; remember, scuds are present in weedy, slow-water stretches. In lakes, use an intermediate line and a slow retrieve. Color, Hare's Ear.

Sizes: 12, 14, 16.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks real. This fly looks outstanding. Haven't used it yet, but can't wet to get on the water with it. It appears that it will hold up for a while as well, since it's well constructed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flashback Scud wet hare's ear Have not used yet but without a doubt the best I've seen. Will use drift rigging on lake taneycomo and fully expect to slay them but will catch and release after enjoying a good tussel. Sincerely Pete

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Fly! This is a well made fly and I like the way it looks. Quite realistic! It was so realistic that I actually caught a nice little Brown Trout on my very first cast with it! I recommend this fly!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Oft overlooked, deadly producer One of the best scud imitations I have found. A killer in slack water, especially for slow tailwaters and spring creeks!
