Rated 5 out of 5 by from To the point A very good G0-To guide for fly tying. Informative, good pictures and starts out with each selected fly listed as a way to increase experience in many areas of tying. Liked the portion that showed many different Flys giving ideas and chances to try out other designs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Orvis Fly Tying Guide I was disappointed that the book did not cover tying in wings for both wet and dry flies as much as I wanted. The book covers the Parachute Adams Dry wing quite well but comes up short in my opinion tying some patterns such as a Blue Quill or Blue Dun. I've always have had problems with wings and hoped there would be much more detail spent on tying them in.
