The Story

Two-pack of 7½' abrasion-resistant 20 lb. tapered leaders with 1½' section of stainless steel wire to prevent bite-throughs by predators with teeth such as pike and bluefish. Black nylon coated for low visibility. Flies attach easily with heavy-duty black single-barrel sleeves. Comes in either 20 lb. or 45 lb. wire. Imported.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works good Works good, heavy butt section to turn over the wire. Will need crimper to attach clip or hook.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good product. Bad (no) instruction. I'm new to pike and musky fishing. I ordered this leader so I wouldn't have to tie my own. The leader came with small sleeves with this dscription: "Flies attach easily with heavy-duty black single-barrel sleeves." There was no instruction on how to easily atttach the flies. I assume some crimping is involved? I sent Scientific Anglers an email request for instruction. No response. I then chatted with Orvis online. The rep was very nice and said he would look into it and send information. Three days later I received a video with NO instruction concerning the sleeves. (It was a promotional video.) I Googled it and couldn't find anything except crimping that involves a special tool. Is that what I need? I have no idea. I suggest that Orvis (SA) includes a small instruction sheet with the leaders in the future.
