The Story

Fish are better than phones. PRO’s kids camp is dedicated to creating the next generation of anglers, outdoor enthusiasts and fly fisherman. Giving your child a chance to unplug and sharing the love of the sport. Our campers go home with the drive and skills to pick up a fly rod and feel comfortable in any freshwater setting.

This isn’t your average week at summer camp, with a 2:1 camper to guide ratio and access to some of the best fishing PRO has to offer. Camp days start with a roster of hands-on classes lead by a mix of our staff and special guests. Topics run the gamut from practical skills such as reading water, entomology, fly tying and fishing techniques. To those needed to responsibly fish, such as habitat conservation.

After class, campers spend balmy afternoons on some of the best waters Montana has to offer, enjoying the same guided experience we offer our adult guests. Casting for cutthroats, browns, and rainbows in the lush Blackfoot river valley. Back at the lodge, perched on the north fork of the river, campers enjoy the kind of old school fun that was more common before the iPad. Whether it’s games, tossing a football, casting on the ponds or enjoying fish stories and s’mores around the campfire.

"My son has spent two summers with Pro Outfitters in Montana and can't wait for summer to return.

I would like to say that I found the care and attention of the staff to be excellent. My son gained a knowledge and love of the outdoors that he has carried with him and has truly helped shape him into the young man he is today. He has become an avid angler and knows that the experience is about a whole lot more than just catching the fish. Pro Outfitters is more than a summer adventure experience, it is a family.

Yesterday, as we were discussing our various vacations and places we've been, he remarked, "You know Mom, those two weeks in Montana were the best two weeks of my life!" I think that says it all."
