A sling pack is a crossbody bag made to ‘sling’ onto your shoulder or back. It gives you the easy access of a chest pack and the storage of a backpack, and you don’t even have to take it off. Some styles let you switch shoulders depending on how you fish or move. Orvis offers sling packs built for fly fishing and trail-ready versions made for getting out with your dog.

Orvis sling packs don’t need to be removed to reach your gear. Just swing the sling pack around and grab what you need. The pockets and zippers are right where you’d want them, so flies, tools, and tippets are always within reach.

The main benefit of using a sling pack over a traditional backpack is its comfortable fit and even weight distribution.
