Some long-sleeve shirts do protect you from the sun. Tighter weaves in darker colors make it harder for UV rays to get through the fabric and reach your skin. If you want your long-sleeve shirt to give you maximum sun protection, choose one with a 50+ UPF rating, like our DriCast™ shirts.
It depends. For days on the boat, long-sleeve shirts are usually made from lightweight fabrics that breathe, dry fast, and have built-in sun protection. Hunting and fishing shirts need to be durable and offer plenty of stretch. Cold-weather long sleeves lean on warmer fabrics and easy layering, so you can add a vest or jacket when the temperature drops.
Most long-sleeve shirts can go in the washer on a normal cycle. Always check the care instructions on the shirt’s tag.
