Guide to Wader Sizing

Available in men's, women's, and children's sizes, our durable waders are designed for a true and comfortable fit, and promise to keep you dry while fishing your favorite waters. Some styles include an innovative suspension strap system that allows you to easily and quickly transform your chest waders into hip waders without removing the suspenders. Our bootfoot waders are excellent for anglers who enjoy fishing in colder climates. The insulated boots provide incredible traction and keep your feet warm in the coldest conditions. Sizing Tips:

  1. If you are between sizes, we recommend sizing up to accommodate wearing layers.
  2. A little extra inseam/length will make a difference in mobility. From stepping over rocks and logs to crouching on a river bank or sitting in a boat, taking movement into consideration for sizing will ensure the best fit.
  3. The measurements in the chart below are based on body measurements not your street clothing.
  4. All measurements are in inches, unless otherwise noted.

Wading Boot Sizing

When sizing for wading boots, typically we like to start one size up from your normal shoe size. This is to accomodate for the added volume needed when wearing waders.


The chart below lists the ORVIS Wading Boot sizing with equivalent shoe sizes. Please use this chart when ordering to ensure an ideal fit. (i.e. Men's US size 10 would take an ORVIS Men's Wading Boot size 11/Women's US size 7 would take an ORVIS Women's Wading Boot size 8.)
