Learn MoreAs we push off from the dock, get ready to immerse yourself in a true Lowcountry experience. Capt. Cleve will take you to the shallow flats, back creeks, and oyster shorelines to pursue of some of the most exciting fishing around. Redfish, trout, and flounder are the primary pursuit in the Lowcountry's inshore waters and provide for exciting year-round fishing. Other seasonal species, such as sharks, jacks, mackerel, and tarpon, begin to show up with warmer water. We target these fish with light tackle spinning or fly-fishing equipment. Capt. Cleve fishes from an 18-ft flats boat powered by a 2020 Suzuki outboard he has customized for the fishery here in Charleston. This boat will allow us to cross the larger water comfortably, then silently push through the shallow waters as we fish.
Fishing primarily on the south side of Charleston out of Folly Beach puts us in a perfect position to take advantage of all the Lowcountry has to offer. The day can start on sandy ocean front flats or along our barrier islands and end deep in the marsh chasing fish along oyster shorelines and in tiny creeks you’ll wonder how we even fit into.

What is included?
Trips include all fishing tackle, flies, leaders, baits, and lures, South Carolina saltwater fishing license for all anglers, cooler with water, and photos and/or videos of your experience. If you do have a favorite rod, you are always welcome to bring it along.
What should I bring?
It is not required, but we recommend you bring food and drinks (alcohol is OK), sunscreen, proper clothing for being in the sun (hats and polarized sunglasses), and boat-compatible shoes.
Can we keep our catch?
As someone who relies on the health of our fisheries, Captain Cleve is strictly catch-and-release, additionally he promotes and teaches safe fish handling on trips. As angler and conservationist Lee Wulff said, “Game fish are too valuable to be caught only once."
What if the weather is bad?
Safety is our top priority. We want to fish as much as you do, but if we cannot operate the boat safely, we will not fish. Due to the unpredictable nature of weather conditions, weather cancellations are often made the day of the trip. If the Captain cancels due to inclement weather, there is no cancellation charge. However, we are able to fish in most conditions and rain showers can be part of the daily weather pattern. Light showers or rain in the forecast will not automatically cancel a charter. We encourage you to bring clothes that will keep you comfortable on the water.
Do you offer guided hunting trips?
Yes, we offer marsh hen hunts during season. Please inquire for more information.
