The Story

Great year-round fly and light tackle angling. Family trips or avid anglers fish Sarasota Bay or the backcountry of Charlotte Harbor for snook, reds and sea trout. Trout, blues, Spanish mackerel, pompano and more on deep grass flats of Sarasota Bay and cobia, tripletail and false albacore in the coastal gulf in fall and spring. August through October is good for juvenile tarpon and snook. Year-round night snook fishing and fish for giant tarpon from May through July. Sarasota's largest on-the-water outfitter with a great selection of tackle and flies. Fly fishing schools, instructional fly fishing trips and private fly casting instruction.

Our fishing charter service offers exciting adventures for anglers of all ages, from novice to expert. We can arrange both inshore and offshore charters for both fly and spin fishers. Our area has a wide variety of year-round species to catch including trout, snook, redfish, grouper, and snapper. There are also many seasonal fish that pass through, including tarpon (May-July), Spanish mackerel, bonita, and bluefish, just to name a few.

What is Provided to Customer

Our charters include fishing licenses, rods, reels, bait/flies, boat, captain, and gas.

Region/Terrain Where You Fish

Anglers would be fishing bays, intracoastal waterways, and near shore waters by means of 18- to 24-foot flats and bay boats. Casting targets include sight fishing, mangroves, oyster bars, and grass patches.

Typical Weather by Season

Fall/spring (beautiful): 65-80 degrees and drier than summer months.

Winter: 40-70 degrees and can be windy and cold.

Summer: 75-90 degrees, hot and humid.

What Should Customers Bring?

Customer should bring food/drink, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, cameras, and anything they would be comfortable wearing during whatever time of year they are fishing.
