Presentation, versatility, and longevity are all benefits of the Hydros Trout Double Taper fly line. A long taper for presentation, an extended belly for mending and line control, and the ability to simply reverse it and extend the life of the line. Smooth coated line presents flies delicately with low-impact colors for a stealthy approach. AST patented dry-slick technology provides continual line protection and slickness. Dual welded loops for easy, seamless connection to backing and leader. Orvis Line ID for quick and easy identification. Braided multifilament core for cold to moderate water temps. Color change at center of the double taper-45'. Light olive front. Moss rear.

90' total length. Line weights 3-5. Made in USA.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Heard it’s good This came loaded on a spare spool I purchased. So I haven’t used it yet but I heard good things about this line too. Plus the double taper is versatile too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Time for the Trout Double Taper A float trip down the Clinch River in Tennessee can be up to eight hours of fly fishing. If we are nymphing that can mean a lot of long drifts/. That means the line is in the water a lot and sees a lot of use. Recently, it was time to change my Orvis Clearwater fly line to something a bit more advanced. I decided to go to the Hydros Trout Double Taper. I liked the idea of being able to easily flip the line when it began to wear. Not only does that save me money, but it saves me time purchasing a new line. Also, the double taper is suppose to have good mending mending characteristics which will be great when nymphing with a site indicator. I tested the line on the lake near my house and I like its smooth delivery. Can't wait until next week when I put it to the test. I am confident that like my other Orvis gear it will exceed my expectations.
