Good Hearing Protection
Comfortable headphones that allow you to hear conversations, muffle shotgun reports, and keep your ears warm all at the same time! The shape allows use while not interfering with the shotgun mount.
They are a bit pricey, but in my opinion worth it.

Hearing Improvement
Bought this babies recently and took them to South Dakota pheasant hunting.
They maddest easy to tell the difference between hens and roosters, yet protected my ears!

Disappointed but Hopeful for Redemption
Previous ears were Howard Leight Impact...decided to up my budget for ear protection and love Orvis, for their quality.
While these are more comfortable around the ear, the sound quality leaves a lot to be desired...Considering my HL's were a fraction of the price these are.
Compared head to head with my HL Impacts it is non compete on Pro Ears end, outside of comfort. Which shouldn’t be the case with the dramatic difference in price.
When practice shooting, the ears have a crackle and the background noise clarity is just not...clear for a lack of a better word.
One other issue is the battery housing has no plate to cover and keep them in place. I had to play with the batteries a bit to ensure they were flush and not coming out partially.
Called customer service, hoping these are just a lemon and we can do a swap and get a pair that impress and perform.
Will do follow up review follow up.

Everything I would expect from Orvis...
I guide disabled veteran's in deer hunts. Over the last week I watched 25 rifles being verified that they were sighted in and sat with 2 Hunter's while they harvested deer. The ear protection worked perfectly while still allowing me to whisper to the hunters in the blind.. Orvis should offer a optional protective case ..

Cheaply made
Do not like product because the plastic head connectors break easily from ear muffs

Fantastic product!
I use these Pro Ears Gold II earmuffs while on the sporting clays course and in the field. While on the clays course they allow me to hear the swing of the trap arm often seconds before the clay is within view. I can also easily have conversations with my customers without having to pull out an earplug. While in the duck blind these earmuffs allow me to hear the “whoosh” of incoming birds seconds before I could either see or hear them otherwise with just normal hearing. The sound quality on these are amazing compared to cheaper electronic earmuffs. I will forever shoot with these earmuffs.

Hearinig protection & warmth!
I've used these in rain, snow, wind and mud with no fall off in effectiveness. I love being able to converse in the field & blind with buddies without fear that muzzle blast will further worsen my hearing loss.
Supplemental benefit: they really keep my ears warm waiting for the geese!
