The Story

The Zug Bug nymph pattern was invented by Cliff Zug as a caddis fly imitation, and while it works well for that purpose it also works well in any number of situations as a prospector, dropper, and even as a wet fly on the swing. Easily one of the top 10 nymph fly patterns of all time. Color, Multi.

Sizes: 10, 12, 14, 16.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crappie love it too! I discovered that suspended winter crappie will readily eat the Zug Bug when cast beyond the school and allowed to sink and then gently twitched through the school. Very fun! Not only for trout!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this fly pattern Although an old pattern, it is a great standby, especially for still-water fishing. Would not go on the water without it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy process What I like about Orvis flies is the way they are sent in an orderly little case with name and size. For me, this makes a difference and helps me to organize my stuff.
