Learn MoreWhen fishing the waters of the Lowcountry you will primarily focus on targeting redfish. Redfish are usually aggressive but can also present a very challenging experience. They are a great fish to pursue for all angling skill levels. Throughout the warmer months they can be found tailing in the marsh grass during seasonal flood tides. When the weather begins to cool off and water temperatures drop, they can be found in large schools along mud flats and oyster banks.
The Charleston Harbor and surrounding areas produce a world-class fishery that allows sight fishing opportunities throughout the entire year. The Charleston Peninsula is a central point for many rivers, inlets, and waterways, filled with marsh grass, oysters, pluff mud, and sand bars. All these factors create a thriving ecosystem for many species. A Lowcountry sunset along the spartina marsh grass, filled with tailing redfish, is truly a sight that never gets old.
